My debut novel, The Regalus Chronicles: Rising Tide, just dropped today. It’s a harrowing experience putting your work out there for the world to consume and critique. But the reality is that it is EXTREMELY difficult to get people to care about your work anyway. In my case, I’m an unknown author with a very limited social media presence, so I went into this knowing it would be an uphill climb to get my book noticed. The advantage I have is that I didn’t write it to get noticed, I wrote it because I love the story. If others find it entertaining as well, then that’s icing on the cake!
So, still on the fence about whether or not you should shell out a few hard-earned dollars to give my book a shot? Well, let me help you out by telling you what you can expect from Rising Tide.
This story is my own imaginative take on how a civilization of diverse alien cultures would interact were they thrust together and challenged to create a functioning society. You’ll find through reading the book that it would look a lot like our own struggles and challenges of trying to maintain a functioning society here on earth. So, if you were to ask me what, in a nutshell, the Rising Tide is like (or at least what I was striving for) the answer is that it, and the entire Regalus Chronicles series, is meant to have the feel of Star Trek, Star Wars, and Game of Thrones, all rolled into one. That is to say, it is a sci-fi political action story, with plenty of battle sequences and thrilling dialogue.
If you go to my book listing on Amazon, you’ll have the option of sampling the first three chapters of Rising Tide to see if it suits your taste. If it does, great! If not, I understand it may not be for everyone.
Thanks for taking the time to learn a little more about my debut novel and what inspired it. I hope you’ll give it a try, and if you do, I hope you enjoy it. If you do give me the honor of reading it, please leave a review on Amazon and let me know what you think.
Thanks!
